Say good bye to AUTORUN VIRUS

Filed under: , by: The Geekie

Autorun Virus !! ha ha..Every computer user must be aware of this annoying virus...This virus gets transfered to ur system almost through pen drives of ur friends. Some antivirus do detect it and some dont..some r able to delete it and some unable. So here i hav got a way to Detect it ,Stop Copying itself to ur system and Delete it permanently.

Right Click on any drive if u see any 'Chinese' language or any absurd language. Then its Autorun virus. To confirm it
Go to My Computer > Tools > Folder Options > View tab
Select Show hidden files and folders
Uncheck hide protected operating system files (recommended)
Select Ok
Now check in any drive if there is presence of Autorun files with extensions .vbs, .inf or something else , then its Autorun virus. This virus when stays in ur system for long time, it gets duplicated, disables Folder Options, Run, Registry, Msconfig and starts corrupting your document or files.

To disable the virus from duplicating
Go to Start > Run . Type 'regedit'(without quotes). Clicking Ok opens Registry
Select Edit menu > Find .Type userinit, Check "match whole string only", Click Find Next.Double click on the userinit and Delete Autorun.bat only.Close Registry. This disables the virus from running each time you boot your system.

If u r unable to do it den go n try in safe mode (by pressing F8 in the booting)

To delete the virus
Go to command prompt (Type cmd in Run)
Delete the virus through dos command del or erase.
For eg: If u hav virus in E drive. Then enter E: in cmd
now type dir /a (to view all files in tht drive..it shows virus file with extension)
now type del autorun.inf /f/s/q/a (to delete the autorun file )
now type exit

Now Restart ur computer and check if it worked or not.

Atlast a nice Bid Adieu to Autorun Virus
